Skin needling is a non-invasive clinical treatment that uses microscopic needles to penetrate the skin within the epidermis and dermis. These channels cause keratinocytes, fibroblasts and melanocytes that produce numerous growth factors to improve and normalise various skin functions. Skin needling is also known as (C.I.T) Collagen Induction therapy which allow the body to regrow and repair the skin from the micro damage through the wound healing response. This helps to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. Skin needling can visibly improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, scar tissue, pigmentation, rosacea, enlarged pores and problematic skin.

 

What are Dermapen Treatments?

Is the treatment painful?

How soon after filler/muscle relaxant injections can I have a Dermapen Treatment?
While there is no clinical evidence that Dermapen treatments counteract with any particular injectables, it is important to let your clinician know if you have had an injectable treatment, or are planning one in the near future. Your clinician will be able to advise you on when to schedule your treatment appropriately.

How long should it take before I see results?
Typically, you will see results after the first treatment. Lasting and more significant results will become visible after 3 to 6 treatments (spaced 2-8 weeks apart). The condition of your skin will continue to improve over the next 6-12 months after a nurse of treatments, especially when combines with the recommended post-treatment care.

Is there any downtime after treatments?
Generally no, but you may experience facial redness for 12-48 hours after the treatment. Mom people are able to return to normal daily activities immediately after the treatment.
